Are there any movies that are more classic than The Godfather? Probably not. This epic movie is regarded as possibly the greatest mafia movie ever made. And if not, it’s usually in the top-5 along with the sequel, The Godfather II. This classic will give you a fascinating insight into the inner working of the Italian mafia in America from the good old days. The movie follows mafia crime family head honcho Vito (Don) Corleone played by Marlon Brando, and his favorite son Michael Corleone played by a young Al Pacino. When it comes to classic movies on Netflix Thailand, not many can match The Godfather.
#2: Escape From Alcatraz
Escape From Alcatraz is regarded as one of the best movies of all time. If you have never seen the film, the title should say it all. The movie is about escaping from one of the toughest prisons in the USA, Alcatraz. A young and dashing Clint Eastwood plays the lead role in one of his most famous parts. The Green Mile is easily one of the best movies of all time.
Tom Hanks sure has starred in some classic movies in his time. His repertoire includes The Davinci Code, Forrest Gump, Catch Me If You Can, and dozens more. However, the best movie Hanks has ever starred in was The Green Mile. It is literally ranked up there as one of the 5 best movies of all time. And ever ranked number-one by many and number-two behind Shawshank Redemption by many more. But that’s all preference. If you have never seen The Green Mile before, stop what you are doing and experience a true treat.
#5: Saving Private Ryan
We purposely didn’t mention Saving Private Ryan when talking about Tom Hanks movie because we have listed it here as a classic. Some people revere this movie as the greatest war movie of all time. And not many people would argue. Again, if you have lived your life without seeing this classic film, you need to correct that right now.
