Big Thank You to Medical Heroes

In a very heart-warming story this week, one of Thailand largest hotel operators, Centara Hotels & Resort, has pledged 10,000 room nights to medical heroes. This token gesture from Centara is a reward for the vital role these medical heroes have played amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

The best part about the human race is when the chips are down, and backs are against the wall, people come together to help each other. Many people would lead you to believe that the opposite happens in times of crisis, but that is simply untrue. There is always so much focus on negativity, especially online and across social media, that we sometimes get the wrong impression about human beings. The truth is that the most negative people in the world are unfortunately the loudest and most outspoken. This gesture from Centara is a nice touch from the hotel giant.

Centara Hotels & Resorts Rewards Medical Heroes

Centara Hotels & Resorts are offering their thanks and support to medical heroes across Thailand for their efforts to curb COVID-19. They will be giving “10,000 Thanks” to the Kingdom’s medical workers such as doctors, nurses and volunteers who have been on the frontline for the past few months tackling COVID-19.

The gift of 10,000 room nights is a heartfelt gesture that will see complimentary one-night stays for two guests at one of the Centara Hotels & Resorts in Thailand or even overseas. Centara has reported that medical staff across the country need a “much-deserved break, completely free of charge, to recharge and reconnect with their loved ones.”

10,000 Thanks from Centara Thailand to Medical Staff

The campaign is called “10,000 Thanks” and can be redeemed across these existing brands: Centara Boutique Collection, Centara, Centara Grand, Centara by Centara, and COSI.

As mentioned above, the offer is also for overseas branches of the brand. However, the most prominent of Centara’s brands across Thailand are in Pattaya, Phuket Krabi, Hua Hin and Koh Samui. Other popular brands include Chiang Mai, Bangkok, Hat Yai and Udon Thani.

The offer of a free night at the hotel is for doctors and nurses who have Thai nationality, or for those who currently live in Thailand only. The promotion initially started on 1 July 2020 in line with the previous month’s phase of re-openings. The offer will continue until 30 December 2020.

Centara’s “25 for Medical Heroes” Promo

If you are a worker across the Thailand medical industry but you are not a doctor or a nurse, you will also get the opportunity to enjoy a 25% discount on every room rate across Centara’s entire portfolio that spans 18 different destinations. This deal is also on offer from 1 July to 30 December 2020. This promo is called “25 for heroes”.

The CEO of Centara Hotels & Resorts, Thirayuth Chirathivat, issued an official statement. He said, “Thailand has not seen community transmission of COVID-19 for over a month now, and there’s no question of the importance the role our country’s healthcare heroes play in keeping us healthy and safe. As restrictions in the country start to ease, we invite doctors and nurses to enjoy a much-needed holiday on us, as a humble token of our immeasurable appreciation of their selfless efforts.”

Companies such as Amazon, Virgin Airways and others received a lot of critics for being selfish during the pandemic over the last few months, so it’s great to see Centara Hotels & Resorts giving back to society. Hardest hit are the hotel and tourism sectors during the COVID-19 epidemic. We are incredibly jubilant that these workers receive this reward for their sacrifices over the past four months.
