The YouTube ‘Hello 2021’ is not so much a look back at 2020, but more of a goodbye to 2020 to gratefully welcome 2021. And boy do we need it!
The YouTube Hello 2021 video is set to be released soon on the platform and will include celebrities such as Matthew McConaughey, Rupaul, Storm Reid, Dua Lipa, Demi Lovato, J Balvin, and many more.

It’s been a tough year. Let’s not mince words here. It’s been a nightmare for most. But as multinational pharmaceutical companies are now regulating everyday laws and informing us of what we can and can’t do, we must have something to look forward to! And hopefully, 2021 is that thing!
The best part about these YouTube ‘Hello 2021’ video series is that they will be individually themed for several different countries/regions. The videos will individually premiere in the UK, Americas, Japan, India, and Korea one time this December. All the varying videos will be released at some time on 31 December 2020, with different times to reflect the different countries.
Movie star Matthew McConaughey will also be in the US version of YouTube Hello 2021
YouTube ‘Hello 2021’ Worldwide Series
The Global Head of Original Content at YouTube, Susanne Daniels made a recent statement about the release of the YouTube Hello 2021 series.
“With the world ready to move past an extremely challenging year, YouTube will use its global reach to celebrate the hope and promise of 2021,” said Daniels. “We look forward to closing the book on 2020 and throwing a worldwide celebration that our YouTube community can safely enjoy from home.”
It’s a good move that YouTube wants to make people feel better about moving into 2021. But if they wanted to help us, they should stop messing with their algorithms to choose the content they want people to see.
Launching Across the World!
Movie stars and celebrities from different countries will individually appear in the Hello 2021 vids. Matthew McConaughey, RuPaul, and Storm Reid will appear in the US version. Dua Lipa, Demi Lavato, and J Balvin will appear in the India version.
For Japan, the United Kingdom, and Korea, there will be local stars and celebrities taking part. These will be in the regional versions is the video.
It’s true. 2020 has been a year that we want to forget but never will. We are all waiting with arms outstretched to welcome in 2021. The YouTube ‘Hello 2021’ video series is just a unique way that the platform will reach out to its users. To spread a positive message in regards to the New Year.
