I live in Thailand and love music. I have a wife and two kids aged 12 and 13 years old that also love music. It only makes sense to take advantage of the new Spotify Thailand Premium Family Plan.
Spotify is revolutionizing the way we stream and pay for music. The music industry has long struggled to come to terms with illegal downloading that has ransacked the industry. However, by downloading the Free Spotify app, you can listen legally with ads, which can at least give the artists some form of payment for their products. Okay, it’s not a perfect system, and many musicians and record companies complain about it, but it’s better than getting nothing.
And in all honesty, we should compare the price of a single stream for a song as a similar royalty procedure that one single play on a radio station would get you. You cannot compare the one-time stream of a single song to the price of purchasing the entire song. It’s comparable with radio plays.

Because I love music and want to encourage more people to make quality songs, I opt to pay for a Spotify Thailand premium account instead of a free one. With a free account, you can still listen to whatever songs you want, but every few plays you will have to listen to an advertisement. And you will also only be able to shuffle songs in your playlist instead of playing them in order.
The first time I used the Spotify Thailand app, I decided to purchase a standard premium account. This gave me 1-month of access to everything without ads and the ability to play songs without having to use the Shuffle functions only. The price for an individual Spotify premium account in Thailand is only 129 THB per month. You can pay that via SMS. It’s that easy. Or you can buy a redeem card online or at the local 7/11 store.
Spotify Family and Duo Accounts
After a few months of buying the individual plan, I opted to buy the Premium Duo plan for 169 THB per month. This gives you two accounts living under the same roof. However, my other kid got jealous and asked why he didn’t have a Spotify account too? And I said because I don’t like him! This was the perfect opportunity to try out the Premium Family Plan. This plan costs 199 THB per month and allows up to 6 individual accounts under one roof. And finally, we had peace in my house, except for the non-stop music blasting out of course.
I just want you to know I am writing this because as a music lover I enjoy having a premium Spotify Thailand account. I’m not being paid to say this. I play music every day and would rather pay for it instead of jacking it Long John Silver style.
