Areas surrounding Pattaya that you need to see are Lake Mabprachan, Bang Saen, Ban Amphur, Jomtien, and Bangsaray. Our Pattaya guide aims to give you more options.

If you want to immerse yourself in some cool Thai countryside with some nice beaches and quality tourist attractions, we recommend Bangsaray and Ban Amphur.

Discovering Ban Amphur

Although Ban Amphur is more the quieter place of the two, it is still a very nice place to visit and home to a few cool beaches. You will find the stylish Ocean Yacht Marina in Ban Amphur and the beautiful and popular Ban Amphur Beach nearby. As with any beaches along the Gulf to the east of Pattaya, they are much cleaner and quieter than in the city.

If you are looking for a spot of quality Thai seafood with sea views, restaurants such as Preecha Seafood and Je Tium Seafood are highly recommended and nearby.

Ban Amphur is also home to one of the best golf courses in the Pattaya region – Phoenix Gold Golf & Country Club. This is perhaps the third-best golf club in the region after Siam Country Club and Laem Chabang. Ban Amphur is a peaceful place and just a 10-minute drive along Sukhumvit Road to the east of Pattaya City.
