Samsung S10 Plus Release Is Coming

Mover over iPhone X, the Samsung S10 contender has arrived. A Samsung press event held in San Francisco this week has brought the announcement of the new Samsung Galaxy series. As the ‘Galaxy S’ series approaches its 10th year, Samsung decided to celebrate by releasing what could arguably be their most powerful smartphone yet. The Samsung S10 and S10+ pack a competitive array of features and see Samsung partner up with Adobe and Instagram for optimised app compatibility. As well as innovative built-in technology and a series of ‘world-first’ features, the new Galaxy S10 smartphones are incredibly stylish, compact and quite arguably the leading smartphone choice for cutting-edge technology. The specification of the new Samsung ‘Galaxy S10’ release seems to be a strong rival for the latest Apple iPhone model, and we take a look at some of the key features below.

Samsung S10 Emphasis is On the Camera

The press conference and launch announcement of the S10 built a strong emphasis on the photography features on the new Samsung smartphone. The S10 features a ground-breaking camera with THREE lenses on the back of the phone and is fitted with footage-optimising software. Samsung is confident that when armed with the all-new Samsung Galaxy S10, even the most amateur photographer can bluff background studies in photography. The phone is marvellously optimised for shockingly-good visual recording and HD videos. The new Samsung S10 release sees the model as the first ever phone with the ability to record HDR10 in 4K. A partnership with Adobe also assists dedicated media-types with hassle-free, yet premium editing tools. The Samsung S10 makes it possible to directly amend and edit footage through Adobe Premier Rush, without the need for uploading files onto a separate computer or Adobe software-running device. Another partnership featured for the Galaxy S10 is with Instagram, and the phone has a dedicated feature for the photo-sharing app through the standard camera mode. It allows users to directly add captions, frames, filters, stickers and integrated Instagram features to their photos, and post them to account stories and photo feed instantly. The camera interfaces have also been opened to other developers by Samsung, and the S10 also includes app-integration with leading social media application Snapchat. In yet another first for the S Series, the Galaxy S10 boasts an Ultra-Wide Lens that comes with a 123-degree field of view. This incredible technology is fascinatingly similar to the human eye, and whatever is in sight is actually brought to the frame. This is a remarkable feature and a massive advantage for fans of panoramic and landscape photography, not to mention large-group shots.

‘The World’s Most Colour-Accurate Display’

Samsung has always been regarded as a strong technology contender and armed with groundbreaking mobile-innovations, with the Galaxy S10 clearly no exception. The new S10 series is designed for users in need of a powerful performing smartphone that is packed full of premium features. The new S10 smartphone seems to have enhanced every attribute and chased after ‘world-first’ accolades for each specification and component. The look, display, screen and security elements have all been taken to the next level and still exist within a flat-screened, compact and attractive device. The phone features the brand-new dynamic AMOLED display complete with Quad HD+ resolution within a 19:9 aspect ratio. The S10 is officially the first HDR10+certified smartphone and delivers rich content, tone mapping and the world’s most accurate colour display. The AMOLED screen is also VDE certified and packs unbelievable contrast ratios and jaw-dropping colour vibrancy…even under direct sun-rays. All three of the newly unveiled smartphones (S10, S10 Plus, and S10E) include support for the recently introduced Wi-Fi 6, as well as 2 gigabit LTE speeds. This is a 1.2-gigabit increase from a previous S9 model Samsung released last year. These speed upgrades assist user potential for sourcing faster internet speeds through a mobile network or separate router found in home or office.

An Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanner in Your New Samsung S10

One of the most talks about features of the Samsung Galaxy S10 is the new security feature. Samsung’s latest release is loaded with an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, embedded out of sight, below the whole of the display screen. The built-in technology here allows for phone-unlocking by a simple touch upon any area of the display. It replaces the traditional scanner found embedded below the screen and Samsung are hugely confident that this is the “most advanced” security scanner available, ensuring stronger reliability than any other phone on the market. Just like ultra-sound technology found in a hospital, this “3D Sonic Sensor” works by relaying sound waves directly from your skin. The device manages to capture details through grease, dirt and water and operates in dark or bright daylight. Interestingly, Samsung seems to have innovated in areas often without thought, and the S10 is believed to prevent eye-strain by reducing ‘blue-light’ by almost 50%. Not always a feature chased in a new smartphone, but now seems highly beneficial considering the play time this incredible piece of machinery is destined for by users. Another critical element is found in the original Wireless PowerShare feature. This technology simplifies the charging of Qi-certified smartphone devices and is even compatible with worn devices. The Samsung Galaxy S10 also packs the ability to charge itself, alongside a secondary device via Wireless PowerShare. Battery wise, the S10 comes a larger battery and packs an additional 400mAh over the previous Galaxy S9 model. For the tech-heads who are chasing performance specifications, the Galaxy S10 comes powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset and is assisted by 8GB of RAM…whatever that means. The S10 Plus, however, comes with the 8GB and 12GB RAM variant choices.

The S10 models will be available in green, black, white, black and blue with a canary yellow. The Galaxy S10+ will also be available in ceramic black and white. All in all, Samsung have created an incredibly powerful smartphone and enhanced the physical features of the ‘S-Series’ significantly. Although there are a large amount of dreamy technical features going on here, can the new Galaxy S10 smartphones honestly justify the price-tag?

The new Galaxy S10 series smartphones are available to order from February 21st, with the official release date currently set for March 8th.
