Triumph at Asia Property Awards

The Asia Property Awards brought Thailand triumph. Taking home SEVEN ‘Best in Asia’ accolades, Thailand had a victorious evening with the Phuket Sheraton amongst the winners at the Bangkok awards ceremony on 9th November.

 

The Event saw a gathering of industry executives and award nominees from 15 key property markets across the Asia-Pacific region, including the debut of specially-selected associates from Japan and Australia. These were invited to join the prestigious awards program for the very first time since its launch thirteen years ago. The awards ceremony took place at the Athenee Hotel and were presented by Kohler in an aim of celebrating iconic architecture and exciting developments within the Asia-Pacific region.

Asia Property Awards: 7 ‘Best in Asia’ Accolades

Thailand had a triumphant evening with Vietnam celebrating 5, followed by the Philippines with 3, Indonesia 3, Singapore 2 and Sri Lanka, China and Hong Kong enjoying one regional award each.

Amongst the evening’s winners were the ‘Sheraton Phuket Grand Bay Resort’ by ‘Apex Development’ who took home the highly sought-after title of ‘Best Hotel Architectural Design’ in Asia. The acclaimed award for ‘Best Boutique Developer’ was awarded to the Thai based ‘Boat Pattana Co Ltd’ who are the company behind the ‘Phuket Boat Lagoon Marina Resort’.

Special mention was awarded to Hong Kong’s ‘New World Development Co Ltd who gained the accolade of ‘Best Developer’ after positive comments from judges following their long-standing achievements and on-going commitment to setting new standards and performing consistent market innovation with fresh and exciting projects.

Asia Property Awards: Triumph from all around Asia

Winners of the Asia Property Awards were diversely found in many Countries across Asia including Cambodia, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Indonesia, Singapore and of course, Thailand.

The evening saw the premiere debut of the all-new glittering PropertyGuru Icon Award. This was introduced as one of the highest regional honours to be presented at the ceremony and went to One of Asia’s most notable real estate billionaires, Filipino-Chinese tycoon Dr Andrew L. Tan who is Chairman and CEO of Megaworld Corporation. Dr Tan was also the proud recipient of the Philippines Real Estate Personality of the Year award back in 2014.

Nearly 500 guests from around the Asia-Pacific region joined the exclusive Bangkok ceremony, including guest of honour Dr Aladdin D. Rillo, Deputy Secretary-General for the Asean Economic Community (AEC), who delivered an inspiring message from the AEC during the evening.
