Bangkok Will Welcome Green Day Back for the Third Time

Billie Joe Amstrong and co. will make their third appearance in Thailand next year, much to the delight of the army of fans who have packed out the music venues since their first gig in the Thai capital. Green Day Live in Bangkok is an exciting announcement from the band, who also paired the tour dates with the brand-new single ‘Father of All’.

The band is at the forefront of the 1990’s pop-punk movement. Other bands during that time are Blink 182, The Offspring and Sum41.

Green Day: Multi-Platinum, Grammy-Winning and American Hall of Fame

Green Day stormed the charts with an invasion of classic 3-chord pop-punk, anti-establishment lyrics and headline-hogging lousy behaviour back in the ’90s. Noting punk bands of the 1970s as their main inspiration, Green Day created a punk reincarnation that re-introduced the genre to a brand-new generation for years to come. Their first major-label release ‘Dookie’ has been a defining soundtrack of the ’90s and famously took the charts by storm. Following massive releases such as the anthemic ‘Basket Case’, the band would consistently ride waves of success with relentless touring, festival headlining, international concerts and several critically acclaimed albums throughout the ’90s. The group made a massive comeback in 2004 and returned with a politically fuelled agenda that would go on to create the peak of their career. Their famed release ‘American Idiot’ was a socio-political rock opera that would surge the band into recent success and allow them to as one of the most acclaimed rock bands in America. Several festivals, tours, concerts and projects later, the group would then go on to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Brand New Album with Tour Across Asia in 2020

Green Day will make their way to Thailand next year as part of a massive tour that coincides with new material. Despite their co-headlining tour announcement with Green Day and Weezer, the band will head to Asia solo and headline a selection of large music venues across the region. Making stops in Taiwan, Japan, Manilla, Hong Kong, Seoul, Tokyo, Osaka and Singapore; the band will play live in Bangkok on March 11th at the Impact Arena. This concert is already set to be one of the biggest international shows of the year in 2020 and tickets are expected to fly out. The band’s new single ‘Father of All’ is available for streaming and download now, with a new album of the same title set for February 2020!
