There are many quality sporting venues in Bangkok, and it’s why the city attracts so many sporting events throughout the calendar. One of the biggest and best indoor sporting arenas in Bangkok is the Nimibutr Stadium, which is also sometimes referred to as the Nimibutr Gymnasium.

Located in the heart of the city at Pathumwan, the stadium has a capacity of up to 5,600 spectators and is fully seated. The venue was constructed in 1963 and is part of the National Sports Stadium complex and is owned and operated by the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT).

The venue is mainly used for live sporting events and tournaments such as futsal, handball, basketball and boxing, although it is also host to some live concerts and music gigs. The multi-purpose nature of the stadium makes it a great place to host an event in Thailand or a major world class sporting competition.
