Google Apps Makes Hearing Better

Google Apps announced a Live Transcribe and Sound Amplifier apps last Monday for people with hearing challenges.

The App displays, according to Google Apps, live conversations in text form on the screen. The app is currently under beta testing.

The app spells out the conversation between people in text form and discussions can get easier followed. Live Transcribe processes sentences including large text and punctuations. The app also translates the talks and presentations of people who are speaking in a different language. People can read along with what other conversation partners say.

The Google App will support seventy languages ​​and dialects. It is not clear which languages will become available. Users can sign up for the beta version of the app from Android.

The Sound Amplifier app is another app that Google presented. This app allows users to set up wired earphones and headphones for better hearing. With this app, it is possible to increase the volume of the microphone and to filter out ambient noise. The function works without an internet connection.

Sound Amplifier promises a way to hear better. The app is only available for phones with Android 9 and does not work with wireless earplugs yet. It is not clear whether the apps also appear for iOS.
