Floyd Mayweather V Logan Paul – Controversial Boxing Bout Confirmed

The Floyd Mayweather V Logan Paul YouTube boxing bout has been confirmed for 20 February 2021 and is currently making massive news. However, some think the matchup is great, while others think it’s a joke that makes a mockery of professional sport.

What do you think? Will you be buying the Pay Per View?

Or is it just a money-grab and a joke?

It’s up to you!

The Floyd Mayweather V Logan Paul boxing match is very controversial

Floyd Mayweather V Logan Paul Exhibition

The rumor mill has been in full operation over the past few weeks in regards to a supposed Floyd Mayweather V Logan Paul contest. But will it be a contest? Of course not.

We have one of the greatest defensive boxers of all-time, who’s undefeated, against a tall and gangly yet very successful YouTuber who has had two professional fights previously. Both against his YouTube rival KSI. Both of which he lost incidentally. An undefeated retired fighter against a YouTuber who has never won a pro fight.

Are we living in the twilight zone?

It was announced earlier this week that the bout will be an exhibition, although, at this moment, nobody knows what that means or entails. I am sure we will find out.

The bout will be PPV but at this time it looks like it could be a flop

Joke Fight or Money-Making Masterclass?

Let’s put this Floyd Mayweather V Logan Paul bout into perspective.

No major broadcaster 15-time boxing world champion who has a record of 50-0. He has defeated the likes of Manny Pacquiao, Oscar De la Hoya, Miguel Cotto, Juan Manual Marquez, and many more major names. His last two fights were similar to joke fights.

Okay, his fight against UFC star Connor McGregor was interesting to the public. Although the Irishman never stood a chance against Floyd in a boxing ring. His last fight was a so-called exhibition against an unknown Japanese MMA style fighter. It was a complete joke. Mayweather seems to be turning into a bit of a joke. It’s a shame, and it will affect his legacy when compared to the true all-time greats in boxing.

Logan Paul, on the other hand, is one of the largest YouTube sensations in the world with over 22 million subscribers. He lost twice in a boxing ring to KSI. And that’s where his accomplishments end. I can’t fault Paul for wanting to grab some of that Mayweather cash, but who said this PPV is going to be successful? Judging by the response since the fight was announced, they have overestimated its potential popularity.

Floyd Mayweather V Logan Paul PPV Prices

Is an exhibition bout between Floyd Mayweather V Logan Paul worth the PPV money? Of course not, even if it was only 5$. However, it’s good to know that the guys have offered a few cheap price point options. You know, because we are in a pandemic and people have not so much cash at the moment, so it’s great that the promoters have considered this. I am being sarcastic, it’s a rip-off.

The initial PPV price will start at $24.99 for the first one million buyers and then will increase in stages until the full price of $39.99. What a joke. Do they think people are this gullible? Wait a minute, of course, they are. Especially in America.

Will you be watching the ‘fight’? I used inverted commas for a reason. If you are, don’t talk to me if you see me in the bar. It’s a shame that American boxing is so on its last legs that we have to put up with this sort of circus show.
