Metz Live in Bangkok. Caution headbangers and punk rockers. The Canadian punk rock band Metz is debuting in Bangkok. DJ Nyon will be the opening act and will play a set of old and new rock diehards. Three supporting groups will then perform some noisy ear doping stuff, including the Bangkok-based noise rock band Death of Heather, the Pistols 99 punk quartet and Bobkat Rock duo from Chiang Mai.

 

Metz Heavy Noise

 

The different performances will produce some heavy noise with these heavy punk rock bands being on stage. Initially, the band is from Ottawa in Canada. The band members are guitarist and vocalist Alex Edkins, bassist Chris Slorach and drummer Hayden Menzies.

Alex, Chris and Hayden founded the band in 2008 followed with their first album release in 2012. According to the Guardian, this punk rock band is one of the most brutal groups out there today.

 

Metz Album Releases

 

Three years later after the first album, Eponymous was released, Acetate was brutally born. The album was song listed for the Polaris Music Prize. Two years later the third album was released called Strange Peace, and Steve Albini recorded the album.

 

Hayden Menzies, who has a Fine Arts degree, designed the album. You can hear the noise live at Noma at Royal City Avenue (RCA) in Bangkok between 7:30 until 11:30 PM.
