So Amazing Chefs is HOT and it’s ON. The So Amazing Chefs returns for its seventh time to So Sofitel Bangkok. The event brings together 21 must-food-taste chefs and culinary gurus representing in total fourteen Michelin stars. In partnership with nine of the best Accor chefs, you can be assured of an amazing culinary experience. So Amazing Chefs takes place from Friday, 14 September until Sunday, 23 September 2018.

The So Amazing Chefs event features seven of the best dinners and seven culinary activities. Whether you like cheese, oysters or Dim Sum, it has been covered. The experiences include cooking classes, cheese @SO, Oyster Night, Dim Sum Pop-Up Dinner, Cheese & Grill Pop-Up Dinner and a bartender night with world-class mixologists.
Like every year, the culinary showdown let all the chefs compete against each other during the friendly culinary competition. So, don’t worry there will be no knife-throwing at this event. Respected masters will present and where you can learn about rare foodies and the art of the spices.
So Amazing Chefs Hast Built Culinary Name and Fame.
So Amazing Chefs started with twelve chefs eight years ago and has since then expanded into a true gastronomy showcase with twenty-one of the finest culinary chefs from eight countries and three continents around the world. Over the years Bangkok has received more name and fame as a fine-dining destination.
The chefs will highlight more food corners around the world than ever with each chef bringing their own unique flair and culture.

James Noble; former chef of the Pink Geranium (**) in the United Kingdom and founder of the Boutique Farmers in Hua Hin, Thailand, Mario Barrios; former patissier of Librije’s Zusje Amsterdam (**) in the Netherlands, Simon Scott; chef-owner of Bistrot Saveurs (*) in Castes France, Rob van der Veeken, chef of De Karpendonkse Hoeve (*) in Eindhoven, The Netherlands, Guy Lassausaie, chef and owner of the same name (**) restaurant in Lyon, France , Bastian Falkenroth; chef-owner of U. das restaurant with one star from Dusseldorf, Germany, Phillippe Orrico; chef and owner of the one-star Upper-Modern Bistro and On Dining Kitchen and Lounge, both established in Hong Kong are some of the newer faces. Thomas Smith is proud to welcome you as the Head Culinary Designer at So Sofitel Bangkok during this event.
Culinary Art Will Amaze and Surprise You During This Event
Different celebrations of culinary arts will amaze you during this week with the Spanish mother-daughter duo; María José San Román who is the chef and owner of one-star (*) Monastrell in Alicante. María Eugenia Perramón San Román guides her family-tapas bar La Taberna del Gourmet in Alicante. Other debuts are Nicolas Elalouf, owner of Man Mo, the first dim sum restaurant from Hong Kong. Leo Huguienin is the former “Best Young Cheesemonger” in the world and also will attend So Amazing Chefs during this week of a culinary extravaganza.
Lots of Well-known Names Return To So Amazing Chefs Event
Not to forget all the familiar faces who will return to So Sofitel Bangkok, including Paul Liebrandt, who is the chef-owner of L’Auberge de la Charme (*) in France-based Prenois. Jacques Cocollos owns a French Oyster Farm and exports top-quality oysters for you to taste.
The list goes on and on with more recognizing names who will make their comeback this year. The Chefs from other Accor hotels will also participate in the event and will take on supporting roles for the preparation of these culinary masterpieces.
