Fame came throughout the United States. Adams rose to fame after his third album release, “Cuts Like a Knife”, in 1983. With his next album, Reckless, in 1984, international stardom laughed at him. The album was one of the decades best produced leading up to his first Grammy nomination with four million albums sold. “Waking Up the Neighbours in 1991 sold three million copies in the United States alone. The hit single Everything I Do, I do it for you is still played regularly and is becoming the second best-selling single after “We are the World”.

Adams wrote the Golden Globe nomination for Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves. Bryan released 1993, a greatest hits album. So Far So Good included the number 1 hit single “Please Forgive Me”. The same year Sting and Rod Stewart joined him in singing “All for Love” from the movie The Three Musketeers. The single scored number 1 across Europe and North America.

Success continued, and Adams released the single “Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman, which became his fourth number 1 hit single and his second Academy Award nomination.
