Track time Thailand is eagerly repeating its bike racing event. The recurring Petchaburi event is the event that bike lovers can’t wait to see at Kaeng Krachan Circuit, the second-largest race circuit in Thailand. The biking event is hosting its 9th edition on 4 and 5 March 2023.

On Saturday, 5 March, the event presents a 2-hour endurance race with a minimum of 10 different teams of 2 bikes and riders. On Sunday, the following day, the real stuff plays out with 2-3 races happening.

Bike Racing in Petchaburi

The first bike racing event is for bikes under 550 CC, and the second race, you probably guessed it, is for bikes above 550 CC. If there is enough time, enjoy the Naked Unlimited part.

The idea of the track time races was born during COVID-time lockdowns when several motorbike fanatics boiled thoughts that formed the basis for the current event.

The Track time events take place at the Kaeng Krachan Racetrack. A whole weekend costs 2,750 Thai Baht, plus Barbecue and drink are 3,000 Thai Baht. The catering comes from L’Occitan, a modern mediterranean restaurant in Hua Hin. It takes around 2 hours and 17 minutes from Bangkok to the racetrack. Another way is to fly to the nearest airport.

Three different categories apply during Track time. The green ride is for starting riders who love to try and enjoy track racing for the first time. Yellow is for more experienced intermediate-skilled riders. Stay out of the way for the red, as these drivers go for curves and speed.
