Deadpool 3 Confirmed as a Marvel Studios MCU Movie

Fans are happy that Deadpool 3 will be under the Marvel MCU banner, and not the PG-13 ratings at Disney. The Rated-R Deadpool franchise is one of Marvel’s most popular movies of all time that was crafted on a low budget and became a massive hit.

The news that Deadpool 3 will be a Marvel Cinematic Universe MCU movie is a sigh of relief for fans. The Rated-R aspect of the movie is what fans like so much. And they didn’t want the franchise to get watered down by Disney +, which is obviously a more family-friendly platform. The movie news website, Collider, contacted MCU’s Kevin Feige and broke this story,

Deadpool 3 will be taking place on MCU and will keep its R rating

Deadpool 3 Will Be Rated-R

The original Deadpool movie was a roaring success for Marvel and FOX at the time because of its low budget. One of the movie’s most alluring features was its edginess, which is something you usually cannot do when making a superhero movie that is for family and PG-13 audiences. But that’s what set Deadpool apart from other movies of that ilk.

When Disney purchased 20th Century Fox, Marvel fans were up in arms about the future of Deadpool. Those fears have now evaporated with the news that Deadpool 3 will be part of the MCU banner and will retain its Rated-R moniker. This is fantastic news for Marvel fans who were worried that Disney would ruin the franchise.

Deadpool 3 Confirmed by Keven Feige

When Collider recently talked to Marvel Studios President, Kevin Feige, in regards to the WandaVision series, he had some interesting things to say about Deadpool 3. Feige gave a promising update on the Deadpool franchise. And said that not only will filming begin shortly, but also that the movie will be part of the MCU. This is great news for those concerned about the R rating and Disney’s family-friendly approach.

Rated-R Confirmed for Deadpool Sequel

Feige told Collider that lead actor Ryan Reynolds is already overseeing the script as we speak. The MCU president also told Collider:

“It will be rated R and we are working on a script right now, and Ryan’s overseeing a script right now… It will not be [filming] this year. Ryan is a very busy, very successful actor. We’ve got a number of things we’ve already announced that we now have to make, but it’s exciting for it to have begun. Again, a very different type of character in the MCU, and Ryan is a force of nature, which is just awesome to see him bring that character to life.”

So if you are a fan of the Deadpool franchise, no need to fret about the R rating for Deadpool 3. It will remain the same edgy and hilarious superhero that you have come to know and love.
