Ratchaburi is west of Bangkok and a province in Central Thailand, bordering Myanmar (Burma). The city offers a picturesque mountainscape and a handful of Mediterranean resorts and amazing sightseeing such as Khao Ngu Stone Park, Bo Khloung’s hot spring and Ang Mi Thong Festival.
The city’s key attraction is The Damnoen Saduak floating market. Vendors on the market sell all kinds of different and OTOP products from traditional wooden boats afloat on canals (khlongs in Thai).
Khao Ngu Stone Park is a favourite site for rock climbing while Bo Khloung’s hot spring with nine terraced levels is famous under Thais and tourists. Ratchaburi is renowned for its food culture and in particular producing fresh milk.
The most well-known festivals in Ratchaburi ‘s event calendar are Hao Ho or Ang Mi Thong Festival and Nang Yai Shadow Puppet Festival. Previously different music festivals took place in the area. Rachaburi is a great stay at one of the hand-picked Mediterranean-inspired destination resorts.
