The city is a popular destination surrounded by a big mountain for wealthy Thais, nature and wine lovers visiting PB Khao Yai Winery. Don’t get surprised when you suddenly must watch out for a cross-over elephant at The Khao Yai National Park that stuns you with more than 2,000 square kilometres of protected nature in Central Thailand.
The city is an excellent destination for wine lovers who like to visit the PB Khao Yai Winery famous for wines including Pirom Supremacy, Licci which is a superb Schnapp and even Khao Yai has grown its Pirom Brandy. The city is also the residence of the Big Mountain Music Festival, one of Thailand’s largest music festivals at the Ocean Resort.
Hiking, camping and biking are extremely popular around the area. Many different waterfalls include the 150m-tall Haew Narok and 20m-tall Haew Suwat, featured in The Beach, starring Hollywood actor Leonardo Di Caprio.
Diverse wildlife is present, such as bears, gibbons, elephants and hornbills living in protected nature in Central Thailand.
